African BloodStone

African Bloodstone crystal/gem stone is a form of Chalcedony and Jasper, also known as Setonite.  

It is believed to have got its name from the red spots with which it is peppered, and in some traditions it is regarded as a sacred stone, with the red representing the blood of Christ.  

In ancient times Bloodstone was believed to be an “audible oracle” giving guidance through the medium of sound. It is also considered to be a magical, mystical stone for controlling the weather and banishing evil. It is said to stimulate dreaming and to be a powerful revitalizer.
